Recent reports have suggested a link between Adderall use and sudden death.  Up to 20 international reports of sudden death are currently being investigated.  The drug is not being withdrawn from the American market.

Until additional information is known about the link between Adderall use and sudden death and who may be at risk, our practice will be discontinuing prescribing of Adderall.  We will not initiate or refill Adderall for any patient.  This is a matter of ensuring upmost safety for the children in our community.

If your child is currently taking Adderall, we recommend you stop the medication and call the office to schedule an appointment to discuss whether another medication will be helpful for your child.  We do not want to randomly initiate alternate medication, but would like to sit down one on one with each family impacted and determine what is best on an individual basis.
