Leigh Ann Lather, MD, FAAP

Dr. Lather joined our  practice in September of 2008. She was born in Minnesota but spent most of her childhood in Princeton, NJ. She lived in England, outside of London, with her family for the last two years of high school. She then embarked on her own tour of the ACC, starting at Duke University where she earned her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology. She then traveled down the road to Chapel Hill where she attended  UNC School of Medicine and graduated with honors in 1993. Her last stop on the tour was the University of Virginia in Charlottesville for residency. She stayed in Charlottesville and extra year to serve as Chief Resident and clinical instructor in pediatrics before moving back to NC and settling in New Bern in 1998 where she continues to live with her family. Before joining the clinic she was in private practice in New Bern and was also a founding member of The Epiphany School, New Bern , NC where she taught and served as a counselor.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and board certified in pediatrics . She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice.

She enjoys dance , reading, biking and spending time with her two daughters, "just being a mom".
