It’s important to understand that with many insurance companies a mental health appointment is considered a “specialist behavioral health visit”.
The visit may require a specialist co-pay depending on your plan. Your co-pay may be different than your primary care co-pay and or be applied to your deductible. Many insurance companies require preauthorization for mental health benefits. It is the patients responsibility to obtain authorization and convey this information to our staff prior to your visit. Please bring previous testing results and medical records to your first appointment, and let our staff know if your child has been seen by another mental health provider in the past 12 months.
If you are seen in the medical clinic and mental health clinic on the same day, depending on your insurance, it may require two co-pays.
We accept most insurance. We are in network with BCBS and Med Cost. We are also NC Medicaid and NC Health Choice providers.
